Bhutan spans an area of 38,394 sq. km, nestled between two of Asia’s largest nations-India to the south and China to the north. The country’s dramatic landscape is largely mountainous, with elevations rising from just 160 meters at the Indo-Bhutan border to 7,570 meters near the Tibetan frontier. Over 72% of Bhutan is covered in dense forests, making it a leader in environmental conservation and proudly recognized as the world’s first carbon-negative country.
